Go to Milan and… eat vegan. Soulgreen is a restaurant, a wine bar, a meeting spot, a mission statement and the newest project of the successful Italian Percassi group. It offers a plant-based innovative cuisine and an extensive range of biodynamic wines. We translated the ambitious concept into an interior design concept that connects environmental awareness to passionate innovation. A soulful dining experience that serves both you and the planet.

The Percassi group came to Creneau International with an actual manifesto. Key components were love for great food, love for the planet and a mission to inspire healthy living. The production and consumption of food in many ways pollutes, wastes and insults the gifts that our planet provides. Soulgreen wants to be different. Translating this ambition into a physical environment, we aimed to make the Soulgreen message truly credible. Cherish the things that are given and enjoy what we create, that is exactly how the space that houses the restaurant was treated.

Soulgreen Milano

Because Soulgreen is an ecological and sustainable concept, we went looking for collaborations with local partners. We commissioned local recycling talents from Controprogetto to create some compelling wooden furniture. The glass lamps by Dutch designer Sander Wassink consist of re-used tableware. Feel like a glass of water? Just serve yourself from the large water fltering system, which is, to our minds, one of the real eye-catchers of this restaurant.

Directly opposing this ecological and sustainable point of view is the use of technology in the establishment. It was a challenge to incorporate these two aspects. If you eat at Soulgreen, you order a dish with a tablet. The tablet is a digital menu that helps you make your choice. But there’s more. Besides an overview of all the dishes, the tablet offers all kinds of information on the ingredients and their journey to your plate. Made your choice? Time to make your order at the kitchen yourself. This way, Soulgreen saves money on personnel that is invested in a top notch kitchen with a highly qualifed kitchen staff.
